Arpin Man Sentenced for Possession of Child Pornography

An Arpin man arrested for possession of child pornography was sentenced in Wood County Court on Thursday.

On May 15, 2025, the Wood County Sheriff's Department along with the Marshfield Police Department executed a search warrant in the Town of Arpin, Wood County, Wisconsin.

The Wood County Sheriff's Department regularly follows up on cyber tips received from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, which provided information of an individual in possession of child pornography.

The information, received along with other information obtained through the investigation, lead to the search warrant that was executed. At the same time the search warrant was taking place, Jason Parrish was located at his place of employment in the City of Marshfield where he was taken into custody in connection to possession of child pornography.

It was believed that Parrish is/was in possession of numerous nude photographs of prepubescent and pubescent children. During an interview with Parrish, he admitted to investigators that he visited websites and viewed nude photographs of children between the ages of 3-years-old and 12-years-old.

During his plea/sentencing on Thursday, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, four counts of possession of child pornography. Several other charges were dismissed and read in.

He was sentenced to 4 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
