(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News-Herald) Panda Express is eyeing a late 2026 opening in Marshfield, pending any construction or hiring delays, according to a spokesperson for the restaurant chain.
According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News-Herald, the spokesperson told a Marshfield News-Herald reporter Jan. 27 that the new location at 106 N. Peach Ave., on Marshfield's northside, is tentatively set to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
"We are thrilled to be coming to the Marshfield community," she said. The free-standing restaurant will employ about 40 people and seat up to 50 guests, she said. It will also offer a dual-lane drive-through.
The new restaurant will be located to the southwest of the Peach Avenue and Central Avenue intersection and to the east of Peach Court, according to materials submitted to the city.
It will replace a currently vacant corner lot at the high-traffic intersection across from Walmart and Kwik Trip. Plans call for a 2,700-square-foot building with indoor dining, a dual-order point system and exterior architectural elements consistent with Panda Express' national brand standards.
The layout includes parking areas on the south and east sides. The city's Plan Commission and Common Council both approved construction of the new Panda Express restaurant on the 2-acre property at their Dec. 16 meetings.
There are currently 26 Panda Express restaurants in Wisconsin, including one at 160 Crossroads Drive in Plover and one at 4400 Rib Mountain Drive in Rib Mountain.
