Beek Meet Coming to Wisconsin Rapids on February 21st

Thursday, January 29th, 2026 -- 9:00 AM

(Nida Tazeen, Reporter Assisted by AI) Beekeepers across Wisconsin and the Midwest are gearing up for another season in the apiary, and Beek Meet 2026 is expected to be one of the region’s most timely educational events.

According to Nida Tazeen, an AI assisted reported, hosted by the Central Wisconsin Beekeepers Association (CWBA) in partnership with Mid-State Technical College, Beek Meet 2026 is scheduled for Feb. 21 at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, according to a community announcement.

The one-day conference is designed to help beekeepers prepare for the upcoming season with practical guidance, expert advice and real-world solutions. Unlike single-track events, Beek Meet 2026 offers sessions tailored for new beekeepers, intermediate hobbyists and experienced operators, allowing attendees to focus on the challenges most relevant to their skill level.

Topics are expected to range from getting started and avoiding common beginner mistakes to managing colony health, overwintering outcomes and improving hive performance heading into spring.

“As the season approaches, beekeepers are asking important questions about hive health, management decisions and what to expect in the months ahead,” said Mike Lawrence, president of the Central Wisconsin Beekeepers Association, based in Wausau.

“Beek Meet 2026 is timed perfectly to help people feel confident and prepared, whether they’re managing their first hive or their fiftieth.” In addition to educational sessions, attendees will have access to a vendor area featuring beekeeping equipment, supplies and services, as well as opportunities to connect directly with experienced beekeepers and industry experts, according to the announcement.
