Marathon County Launches Marathon County Open Data Portal
Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 -- 10:00 AM
Marathon County has launched the Marathon County Open Data Portal, a resource designed to provide public access to county data in a clear and organized format.
Community members are invited to explore the site and review available data at: www.MarathonCounty.gov/opendata. The Open Data Portal is hosted on Marathon County Pulse, a community-driven platform created to make data about quality of life in Marathon County accessible and easy to use.
Pulse allows users to display, search, compare, and track data over time to support informed decision-making. The portal adds performance data from county departments and services to this existing platform, offering dashboards, downloadable datasets, and trend analysis.
This launch represents the completion of phase 1 of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data project, which tracks department-specific performance measures. Additional KPIs will be added quarterly, with a comprehensive update provided annually.
Performance measures are grouped around three core questions:
- How much did we do?
- How well did we do it?
- Is anyone better off?
These questions are part of a framework used to evaluate the quantity, quality, and impact of county services. The Open Data Portal provides a centralized location for accurate, timely information about county services and performance.
By making data accessible, the portal supports transparency and informed decision-making processes.
