Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 -- 12:00 PM

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A woman arrested on OWI 1st offense while having two kids in the car was sentenced in Monroe County Court on Monday, according to WEAU staff.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post, in February of 2025, Rebecca Elyce Good of Alma Center had been pulled over for speeding on Interstate-94 at mile marker 126 in Jackson County.

After an investigation and field sobriety testing, troopers determined Good was driving under the influence of an intoxicant. She was then arrested. In the car, there were two minors under the age of 16.

The kids were turned over to their father. Good was taken to the hospital for an evidentiary chemical blood test and released. During her court appearance on Monday, she was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 1st offense OWI with children under 16 in the vehicle.

Two other charges were dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. She was sentenced to 10 days in the local jail, over $1,600 in court costs and fines, and her license was revoked for 12 months.
