Tomah Area School District Looking for Community Input to Hire New Administrator

The Tomah Area School District is beginning the process of hiring a district administrator to start work on July 1, 2026.

The School Board enlisted the services of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to assist in facilitating the search process. The Tomah Board of Education is interested in gathering input from the community related to the hiring of a new district administrator.

A Community Survey is one of the tools being used to help gather this information from the various stakeholders in the district. The information gathered from the Community Survey will assist the board in the creation of a profile outlining the skills and characteristics sought in candidates for the position and the development of questions to be used in the interviews.

The Community Survey can be accessed on the district website or with the link below beginning January 9. The link to the survey will remain open through January 23: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TomahComm2026

Also, in addition to an online survey, a Community Focus Group session will also be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 pm in the Robert Kupper Learning Center.

The session will last 45 to 60 minutes and will be led by a Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) consultant. Information gathered at the Community Focus Group session will assist the school board in finding the candidate who will best match the needs of the school district.

A random drawing will be conducted on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the District Office to select up to 25 people to participate in the Community Focus Group session.
