Wood County Sheriff’s Department Seeking Information in Shooting Incident in the Township of Rudolph
Friday, January 9th, 2026 -- 2:00 PM
On January 7, 2025, at approximately 10:30 PM the Wood County Sheriff's Department responded to the 5400 block of STH 13/34 in the Township of Rudolph, Wood County for a report that a residence had been shot multiple times by a firearm.
Upon arrival Wood County Sheriff Deputies were able to account for all individuals inside the residence and were able to confirm that no injuries were sustained. Members inside the residence included adults and an infant child.
Deputies and investigators were able to identify the location of the shooting and were able to confirm more than 10 rounds were shot at the residence. The residence was struck multiple times along with a vehicle in the yard near the home.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department is following up on multiple leads pertaining to this case but is seeking the public's assistance for information. Some evidence may indicate that more than one person was involved in the shooting or transportation to and from the incident.
If you know or have information on the individual or individuals that committed this crime, please contact the Wood County Sheriff's Department. The outcome of this incident could have been much worse for innocent individuals involved including an infant child.
