Spencer Woman Appears in Marathon County Court for 7th OWI

(Heather Poltrock, WSAW) A 60-year-old Spencer woman charged with her 7th operating while under the influence offense appeared in Marathon County Court on Wednesday.

According to Heather Poltrock with WSAW, Rhonda Seefeld remains in the Marathon County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond. The criminal complaint states a Marathon County detective stopped Seefeld’s vehicle back in June near Hwy 13 in Colby.

During the traffic stop, Seefeld told the detective she was driving from Spencer. She then went to multiple gas stations in Abbotsford and one in Curtiss before driving back to Spencer. After noticing erratic behavior from Seefeld, the detective requested a K9 unit, which “alerted” while conducting a check on the vehicle.

During the vehicle search, over three grams of meth, over a gram of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. She’s facing charges of 7th OWI, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During her preliminary hearing probable cause was found so her court proceedings will continue. She entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her. She’s scheduled to be back in court on February 19th.
