Marshfield’s New Winter Farmers Market Opening this Saturday

The Marshfield Winter Farmers Market is opening for the season on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, and will be held at the Second Street Community Center (211 E 2nd Street, Marshfield, WI 54449) from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

The market will feature up to 20 vendors selling food items like fresh sourdough, honey, maple syrup, eggs, meat, bakery, and in early spring, produce! The market will also host craft vendors, selling everything from candles to 3-D printed toys.

“The Winter Market was started by the Marshfield Farmers Market Co-operative board, made up of volunteer market vendors,” says Meliss Haack, Regional Farmers Market Coordinator, “there is a lot of work that goes into organizing a market, and this group has been incredible at considering all aspects of the market throughout the whole process.”

The market will open this weekend and will be a community event occurring all winter long on Saturdays through the end of May. When arriving at the market, it’s helpful to bring your own bags or totes, come with cash to support small businesses, and ask questions to get to know the vendors and your community.

Asking questions about how a vendor makes their craft items or how a farmer’s chickens fare over the winter are great ways to get to know your vendors and feel connected to the things you buy and the people who grow/make them.

The winter market opening day will also have a drawing for amazing door prizes for customers who attend the first day, including two $25 gift certificates and a basket of local vendor products.

“We are so excited to host the first-ever winter farmers market here in Marshfield!” says Diana Lang, Marshfield Farmers Market Cooperative board chair, “it feels like our little market family gets to be together all year round now. I can’t wait to see our regular customers from the summer farmers market this winter!”

There will be a market vendor serving hot food regularly, so come hungry! Supporting local businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs all year round has never been easier.
