Tomah Academic Decathlon Team Ranks 6th in the State

Tomah Academic Decathlon is officially off to an incredible start for the 2025–2026 season.
At their Local Competition on November 4, the team dominated the field, defeating Melrose-Mindoro, La Crosse, and Iowa-Grant.
Highlights from an outstanding day:
- 17 total ribbons brought home by Tomah students
- Ribbon winners included Izzy Hilt, Zoe Pergande, Lucy Jankowski, and John Battista
- Michael Zastoupil earned 2 ribbons
- Madi McCabe collected an impressive 5 ribbons
- Joanna Stryker led the way with 6 ribbons, including 1st Overall,
- 3rd highest Economics score
- 3rd highest overall Honors score
- TOP Math score in the STATE!
As a team, Tomah currently ranks 6th in Wisconsin as they chase a spot at the National Competition, a first in Tomah history.
