Misty is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by East Valley Veterinarian Clinic located at 2510 Black River Road just North of Neillsville and east of the Black River. (https://
Name: Misty
Age: 1.5-Years-Old
Breed: Heeler Mix
Meet Misty, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Misty came to CCHS towards the middle of October from a local farm. She was living with an Amish family who decided to move and didn't want to take her along.
Misty is, well, a chunk. Normally a Heeler mix is 40-50 #. Misty weighs 83#. At only 1 1/2 years of age, this is quite overweight for her. Misty is a pretty girl with a short-haired coat that is blue and red merle with some black highlights.
She has had a lot of adjustments coming to the Shelter from an Amish farm. And given her size, if she didn't want to go somewhere, she just didn't. But she has learned that everybody here at the Shelter is really nice and we all just want to help her and be her friend.
Misty would benefit from a quiet and patient furever home that can meet her where she is at with a gentle, loving touch. Her New Year's resolution is to lose a few pounds, so she also needs to find a new family that understands the importance of weight management!
With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Misty today! You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter. org/applying-to-adopt.
Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.
We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs- petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at [email protected]. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!
Happy New Year from all of us at the Clark County Humane Society!
