According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 22, 2025, at about 5:29 p.m., a Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office saw a wanted person entering the Walmart store in the City of Black River Falls.

The Deputy found and arrested the person identified 37-year-old Ryan Carter of Black River Falls, Wis. for a probation/parole warrant. The press release says the Deputy found suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle that brought Carter.

With the vehicle was 38-year-old Brandon Spangler of Black River Falls, Wis. Spangler was arrested on suspicion of drug related offenses. Authorities searched Carter’s home and 39-year-old Brandi Sattler of Warrens, Wis. was found inside.
