Wisconsin Rapids Police Department Sees an Increase in Mail Theft Cases

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department has seen an increase in mail theft cases in recent months.

This has also been occurring in surrounding communities. The Department kindly requests that  you review any surveillance cameras that may capture your mailbox and review the footage for any suspicious activity.

Please pay extra attention while traveling throughout the community, speak with  your neighbors, and report any suspicious activity you may observe. Did you know that the USPS has an Informed Delivery mobile app that allows you to manage your mail and packages?

The Department also encourages you to utilize “track my package” apps or services when making online purchases. They also recommend using surveillance cameras to monitor your package delivery location or mailbox on your property and to check your mail daily.
