Medical Technologist in Transfusion Services with Marshfield Medical Center Recognized with DASH Award

Congratulations to Laure Kaiser, a Medical Technologist in Transfusion Services with Marshfield Medical Center, for being selected by the UW Organ and Tissue Donation team as their October 2025 DASH (Donation Advocate Superhero) Award.

Laure was nominated by a UW OTD Organ Procurement Coordinator for her outstanding support during a recent donation case. Here's an excerpt from the nomination: "This donor had received blood products, and Laure kindly helped me track the timing on details."

"Later, she called me again to make sure I knew the donor had received additional products and wanted to ensure we had every piece of documentation needed. I am often humbled by how much people remember about the donation process, and even more humbled by their willingness to double-check and follow up."

"Laure cared enough to think about our conversation and reach out to make sure I had what I needed. It's people like Laure who change the world; those who care just a little more than they have to. Please let this wonderful healthcare worker know how appreciated she is!"

Earlier this month, a member of the UW OTD team stopped by the Laird Center lab to recognize Laure. Several members of the lab team shared kind words about the dedication and enthusiasm Laure displays every day.
