Wausau Police Officer Achieves First 5-Year Stripe

Wednesday, December 24th, 2025 -- 8:00 AM

Congratulations to Wausau Officer Cody Holder on achieving his first stripe patch for 5 years of service in law enforcement.

Officer Holder came to the Department in 2020 and immediately began to make impacts in the community. With his experience from his previous military career, Officer Holder chose to volunteer as a liaison between the department and refugee organizations who were helping people entering the community.

He has since been working closely with those organizations and building bridges between refugees and the department. Officer Holder has also worked closely with the Wausau Police Cadet Program and a leader in the juvenile restorative justice program.

Officer Holder has been awarded for his work as Rookie of the Year, Bridge Builder Award, Achievement in Supporting Domestic Violence victims, and received the Respect for Law award. The Wausau Police Department issues a service stripe to officers for every 5 years they serve in law enforcement.

It's a symbol of pride and longevity each officer can wear on their long-sleeve uniform shirt.
