One Person Killed in One Vehicle Accident in the Town of Wilson

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) The tragic incident happened early morning Saturday in the Town of Wilson, according to WEAU staff.

According to a news release from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene near the E25600 block of County Road G around 12:20 a.m. A single-vehicle was off the roadway and a person appeared to have been ejected from the vehicle.

Witnesses on scene attempted lifesaving measures until first responders arrived. Lifesaving efforts from first responders were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office says based on a preliminary investigation, alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. The name of the victim has not been released.
