City of Marshfield Reminds Residents of Seasonal Parking Restrictions
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 -- 10:01 AM
(By Tom Loucks/Communications Director) To support snowplowing, ice control, and emergency access during winter weather, the City of Marshfield reminds residents of seasonal parking restrictions.
According to Tom Loucks, Communications Director with the City of Marshfield, from November 1 through April 30, parking is not allowed on any city street between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This overnight restriction helps Public Works crews safely and efficiently clear snow and ice from roadways.
Parking in city-owned parking lots is also prohibited overnight between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (or 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. during daylight saving time), except in designated or permitted spaces.
Trailers, boats, and other non-motorized vehicles may not be parked overnight on city streets or in city lots, as they create additional challenges for snow removal and street maintenance.
These rules do not apply during declared snow emergencies, when separate parking restrictions are in effect. Your cooperation helps keep streets safer for plows, emergency vehicles, and fellow residents throughout the winter season.
