Wood County Sheriff’s Department Recognizes Several Team Members for Exceptional Performance in 2025

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department recognized several team members for exceptional performance in 2025.

Austin Hardina and Rebecca Baker were voted Corrections Officers of the year by their peers.  Stephanie Wiskerchen had also been voted as Corrections Officer of the year, but tried to decline the honor so others could be recognized.

Investigator Sergeant Bren Derringer was awarded the 2nd annual Eleanore Roberts award for his outstanding work putting victims first.  Bren’s approach in a very sensitive case led to successful prosecutions as well as a voice and support for the victim.

Join them in congratulating Austin, Rebecca, Stephanie, and Bren on their outstanding performance. They thank their team, family, friends, and retired Lieutenant (and Eleanore Robert’s award winner) Bob Levendoske, for making the day special.

Additionally, they’d like to thank Sheena Bohl for her efforts in getting the Corrections Officer of the Year Award started.
