Marshfield High School Student Council Hosts 2nd Annual Light Up the Fieldhouse Event

Leaders of the Marshfield High School Student Council organized and hosted the 2nd Annual Light Up the Fieldhouse on December 12.

This year, the council chose to donate all proceeds to United Way programs that directly support youth in the community. Thanks to the generosity of their donors and supporters, nearly $3,300 was raised.

The event took place during the Boys and Girls basketball doubleheader against Wisconsin Rapids and also included the annual Cereal Drive, collecting an incredible 288 boxes of cereal. They send out a huge thank you to the T-shirt sponsors: Altman Builders, Trudeau Construction, Rice’s More Than Floors, and Staab Construction.

They also appreciate Roger’s Cinema, Marshfield Utilities, MACY, ODC, Board & Brush, Marshfield Youth Basketball, Schalow’s Nursery, and NextHome for their raffle basket donations.

The MHS Student Council is proud to develop student leaders both in and out of the classroom, while learning the importance of giving back to the community.
