Sandboxes Available at Select Street Corners in the City of Marshfield for Icy Conditions

Sandboxes filled with sand are located at select street corners in Marshfield, near schools, for use by crossing guards to help keep sidewalks safe during icy conditions.

Residents may also use this sand when needed to improve sidewalk safety.

How to use the sand:

• Bring a small container, such as a coffee can or ice cream bucket.
• Take only the amount needed for icy or snowy sidewalk conditions.
• Do not use the sand for personal driveways or private property.

These sandboxes are intended solely to support public sidewalk safety during winter weather. Additional info available here.
