Participate in the Benevolent Branches Campaign at Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 -- 1:00 PM

Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is inviting the community to join in spreading holiday cheer through Benevolent Branches, a new seasonal giving campaign that connects local generosity with area charities.

Similar to the “Angel Tree” concept, Benevolent Branches serves as a festive hub for holiday giving, spotlighting local nonprofit organizations and their most needed items. I spoke with Tiffany Schara, Business Development Specialist at MMCCU, and she discussed the campaign in more detail.

Listen to the interview with Tiffany here!

Once again, you can choose an item from the tree and it must be returned to MMCCU by December 12th. Charities to support include:

  • Hannah Center
  • Shirley’s House of Hope
  • Marshfield Area Pet Shelter
  • Cattails Place
  • Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield
  • St Vincent De Paul Outreach
  • Soup or Socks
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Children’s Miracle Network

For more information or to get involved, contact Tiffany Schara at [email protected] or visit www.mmccu.com.

Tiffany: "So, Benevolent Branches came about because we were talking about just how there seems to be a need, or maybe a place to be filled for kind of a one stop shop for some seasonal giving."

"When I was growing up, there was, you know, the Angel Tree that used to be in the North Way Mall, and there just didn't really seem to be any place like that anymore."

"I know, for my family, personally, we always kind of opened up the season with the spirit of, you know, generosity and giving and benevolence and stuff like that. So, that's kind of how the name of the tree came to start."

"So, it's actually in the lobby of the Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union on 302 West Upham in Marshfield and we have a beautiful tree decorated with tags accompanying little ornament stand-ins and each of those tags has a wish list item that we've gathered from, probably, about 13 nonprofits here in the Marshfield area, ranging anywhere from Mary's House of Hope to Children's Miracle Network to the Boys and Girls Club, United Way, Hannah Center, a lot of really worthy causes."

"And so we've got all the wish list items there you can come and you can shop on the tree and choose a tag that you would like to fulfill. You take the tag with you."

"You go fulfill the item, you bring it back, and we the Marshfield Medical Center credit union team, will go and deliver the items to the organizations. And then, as a thank you to you, we give you a ornament as a keepsake, and we're hoping to do this annually, so each ornament will have you know, the year that you gave."

"It's a wonderful opportunity, like I said to it's great to be able to maybe use this in lieu of getting a gift for someone that you don't know what to get them, you know, you can say, hey, in your honor, I went and bought, you know, a crock pot for the Hannah Center or something like that."

"One of the things we have is like the Cattails Place that's one of the nonprofits that we have here. What a great tribute to somebody who's surviving cancer to be like in your honor, we donated something to the cattails this year."
