One Person Killed in One Vehicle Accident in the Town of Sherwood

One person is dead after the vehicle they were driving entered the ditch and struck a tree on Sherwood Road in the town of Sherwood.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of the crash at about 12:25 PM, on Sunday November 23rd , 2025. Initial investigation indicates that a vehicle was driving west on Sherwood Road East of Sandhill Avenue when it entered the north ditch, flipped onto the driver’s side and struck a tree.

The driver, Neil G. Pfeiffer 58 years old, is from the Granton area and was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Coroner Clarissa Rochester. The Granton Area Fire and First Responders responded to the scene with the Neillsville Area Ambulance Service, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation of the crash is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
