Name of Those Involved in One-Vehicle Crash in Jackson County Released

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) The names of those involved in a one-vehicle crash in Jackson County early Saturday morning have been released, according to WEAU staff.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the crash happened on West Blair Road at County Highway N near Taylor around midnight. A vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver lost control, went into the ditch, hit a power pole and overturned.

A man, identified as 34-year-old Casey Kersting of Black River Falls, was hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay. One person died at the scene. A woman identified as 32-year-old Cortney Schultz of Blair died at the scene.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said it is not clear through the initial investigation who was driving the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation.
