Two Wausau Officers Promoted to Detective

Congratulations to Wausau Police Department’s Sarah Bedish and Robert Horstmeyer on their recent promotion to the rank of Detective.

Detective Sarah Bedish #111 has served with us here at Wausau PD since 2011. For the past few years she has been serving as our Victim Resource Officer, working closely with crime victims and our advocates. She will remain working in that role as a Detective.

Detective Robert Horstmeyer #241 joined the Wausau PD in 2024 after serving nearly 10 years in law enforcement in Arizona. He was most recently serving as a Patrol Officer on our day shift.
