The Highground Veterans Memorial Holds Successful Halloween Celebration
Friday, November 7th, 2025 -- 9:01 AM

The Highground welcomed individuals and families to a sensational, community-focused Halloween celebration on October 29, 2025.
A CAMO (Community and Military Outreach) program offering, the event delivered festive fun for all ages and gave supporters an opportunity to make a life-saving impact. From noon to 5pm, guests proved they know the true meaning of a treat.
By donating blood, they gave the most valuable gift of all with help from the Red Cross. The Highground was honored to have 18 generous blood donors participate, including several who made impactful Power Red donations.
From 5–7pm, the parking lot came alive with creatively decorated vehicles overflowing with candy and goodies. Over 60 trunk-or-treaters and their families enjoyed a safe and high-spirited Trunk-or-Treat experience, making it a memorable evening.
Participants indulged in popcorn, hot chocolate and warm apple cider as they joined in festive Halloween-themed games like “Zombie Eyeball Toss”, got creative with pumpkin decorating and added their artistic flair to a giant coloring page.
“We were absolutely delighted by the incredible turnout!,” shared Bonnie Pettis, one of the CAMO program coordinators. “We had a blast putting everything together and we are already excited for next year's Halloween celebration."
"The Highground is excited to wrap up this year’s CAMO program with this month’s Holiday Survival Workshop and The Great Reset Workshop in December."
