Woman Enters Plea for Jackson County Bank Robberies

Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 -- 12:01 PM

A woman allegedly involved in two bank robberies in Jackson County entered a plea to the charges against her.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, on January 3rd of 2019, around 1:10pm, a robbery was reported at the Jackson County Bank in the Village of Alma Center.

The suspect was reported to be a white female and a clothing description was provided. The suspect fled on foot and was not located in the area. In November of 2018, the Jackson County Motor Branch in the City of Black River Falls was also robbed in a similar fashion.

The suspect has similar behaviors and descriptors. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office followed new leads in the case which led them to a person of interest. Further information and evidence tied the suspect to both robberies. The woman in question was located in Taylor County.

The subject was identified as Michaela Davis of Medford. She was arrested in December of last year and booked into the Jackson County Jail. During her court appearance on Monday, she pleaded guilty to robbery of a financial institution. Another charge was dismissed and read in.

A sentencing date hasn’t been set at this time. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Marshfield Police Department, Medford Police Department, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
