(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Wausau man is accused of abusing an 18-month-old child during an argument with the boy’s parents.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Chinsia Lee faces felony counts for recklessly endangering safety and child abuse, along with misdemeanors for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. Investigators say he held the boy by his hair and held a knife to his body.
According to the boy’s parents, Lee had just been kicked out of their home following an argument, but managed to get back inside. That’s when he allegedly threatened the boy and demanded money. The child was hospitalized for undisclosed injuries. An update on his condition has not been given.
Lee, 32, is being held on a $75,000 cash bond with several conditions, including a full no-contact order with the boy and his family. He faces more than 18 years in prison if found guilty on the felony counts alone.
Court records show Lee is homeless. Further hearings are set for October 22nd and December 17th.
