Cadott Woman Sentenced for Her Involvement in the Death of an Eau Claire Man

A Cadott woman involved in the death of an Eau Claire man was sentenced in Eau Claire County Court on Monday.

According to court records, a passerby spotted a dead body in the ditch on the E. 11000 block of Mallard Road in the town of Clear Creek back in 2022. The body was identified as 46-year-old Eddie Banks. Authorities stated Banks was murdered over $500 in drug money. Three people were allegedly involved in the murder including Kristina Keppert.

During her sentencing on Monday, Keppert was found guilty of felony murder and hiding a corpse. She was sentenced to 7 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
