Granton business The Maple Dude’s 10-pack of 1 ounce maple syrup shots had made it to the top 8 in The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest.

The Maple Dude beat out EK Machine’s massive generator enclosures to make it to the next round. Now, they take on 1000 Island Airboat’s 24-foot Search and Rescue airboats.

In a recent interview with The Maple Dude himself, he stated that the 1 ounce shots were meant to be a convenience item. However, the product has really gotten traction as an athletic fuel for various athletes.

The Maple Dude will now compete to make it to the final four. Voting begins today and closes at 5pm next Tuesday, October 14th. You can vote once every 24 hours at https://www.madeinwis.com/, so make sure to vote each day!
