Name: Willow
Age: 1-Year-Old
Breed: Lab mix
Meet Willow, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Willow came to CCHS as a stray from the Loyal area towards the beginning of August. This sweet gal is a 1 year old Lab mix and weighs roughly 48.3# currently.
Willow is an absolute sweetheart! She can be a little on the timid side, as coming into a shelter setting can be quite daunting to some pups, but with a few treats, positive encouragement, and a whole lotta forehead kissies and she will warm up in no time!
Willow is currently working on her leash manners as she can tend to get a little excitable when she catches a new scent. She would benefit from having a patient furever family that is willing to meet her where she is at with all of her little quirks.
Willow would also benefit from being the only dog in her furever home as she can have a bit of anxiety around other dogs. While we may not be entirely certain what her exact breed makeup is, we can tell you she's 100% a good girl!
With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Willow today! You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/ applying-to-adopt.
Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out. We are very much in need of volunteers!
