One Person Killed in Two Vehicle Accident on Highway 13 in Clark County

One person is dead after the semi tractor trailer they were driving was involved in a crash on STH 13 at Hickory Road in the town of Mayville.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of the crash at about 7:58 PM, on Sunday October 5, 2025. Initial investigation indicates that a farm tractor pulling a loaded wagon was south bound on STH 13 turning east on Draper Road when a semi tractor-trailer that was also south bound struck it from the rear.

The crash blocked STH 13 for several hours. The driver of the semi tractor, its only occupant, died at the scene of the crash. The tractor driver was transported to the Wausau Aspirus Hospital with serious injuries.

The Central Fire and Ambulance Service responded to the scene with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Taylor and Marathon County Sheriff’s Offices, Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, and the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation of the crash is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Coroner’s Office and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. The names of the drivers are not being released at this time.
