Wausau Man Sentenced for 4th OWI

A Wausau man accused of his 5th drunk driving offense after an altercation with a family in a residential neighborhood earlier this year has pleaded guilty to an amended charge for a 4th OWI.
Court records show Matthew Corp entered the plea on Monday. He had been facing a felony count for a 5th or 6th offense OWI, but instead pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. In exchange for the plea, a count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety was dismissed but read into the record.
he 61-year-old will avoid prison time if he completes three years of probation. Terms include seven months in the Marathon County Jail and a full no-contact order against a victim, identified by their initials.
He must also complete all treatment and counseling ordered by his agent and maintain absolute sobriety from alcohol. His driver’s license has also been revoked for 36 months.
