CLARK CO. FARM SUPPLIES 'COW POWER'

A Clark County farm has inked an agreement to sell electricity to a local power company.Dairyland Power Cooperative is buying energy from the Norm-E-Lane dairy farm in the town of Chili. Clark Electric Cooperative will assist Dairyland.
The 2,000-head farm owned by the Meissner family uses an anaerobic digester to convert manure gases into power. It produces 500 kilowatts of renewable energy, that can power 336 homes.
Norm-E-Lane is the fourth dairy farm providing cow power to La Crosse-based Dairyland Power.
