Two Arrested After Chase in Jackson County with Stolen Vehicles

Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 -- 12:00 PM

On September 30, 2025, at about 7:22 a.m., the Jackson County Communications Center received information from the Wisconsin State Patrol of two stolen vehicles that were east bound on I-94 entering Jackson County.

The two vehicles were reported stolen from a rental car company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The responding Deputies located the two vehicles traveling east on I-94 and attempted to stop one of the vehicles.

The two vehicles fled at a high rate of speed and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. One of the vehicles eventually exited at the east-bound area rest stop. The driver abandoned the undamaged vehicle and fled into the woods. The vehicle was recovered but the driver was not located.

The fleeing vehicle continued east bound into Monroe County. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deployed tire deflation devices near Tomah which were effective.

The vehicle came to a controlled stop and the two occupants were taken into custody without further incident. The driver was identified as Makenzie Eisert, age 18, of Fairbault, Minnesota.

The passenger was identified as Anjel Sarr, age 21, of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Eisert was booked into the Jackson County Jail for Fleeing an Officer, Operating without Owner’s Consent, Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Receiving Stolen Property.

At this time, all parties involved retain a presumption of innocence until adjudicated otherwise in a court of law.
