Black River Falls Woman Sentenced for Jackson County Homicide Case

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A Black River Falls, Wis. woman is sentenced in a Jackson County homicide case.
According to WEAU staff, online court records show 51-year-old Star Myers is found guilty of 2nd-degree intentional homicide. The remaining charges are dismissed and read in.
Myers is sentenced to 22 years in prison and 20 years extended supervision. In March 2023, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Myers reported a missing person.
The Sheriff’s Office then received reliable information indicating the missing person was actually dead as the result of foul play. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said human remains were found on a property on County Highway O State Highway 27, near Black River Falls.
According to the criminal complaint, two people told investigators Myers shot the victim in the head in a bedroom after he told her about sleeping with other women.
When interviewed by investigators, Myers denied killing the victim.
