(Katrina Lim, WEAU) A man is facing time behind bars after a shooting in Fairchild nearly a year later.
According to Katrina Lim with WEAU, Mark Dickinsen was one of two suspects charged following a shooting in Fairchild last September. He was charged with several crimes including kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, and 3rd offense OWI.
According to the criminal complaint, Dickinsen and Aaron Walker arrived at a home, looking for someone who apparently owed Dickinsen money. Dickinsen used the man as a ‘human shield’ while he held a gun to the back of his head as they searched the home. Authorities later arrested him after he crashed a motorcycle.
Monday in Eau Claire County Circuit Court, Dickinsen was sentenced to three years of prison for kidnapping and three years for possession of a firearm, however, those sentences will run concurrent to each other. He is granted 235 days of sentence credit.
