Arpin Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography Appears in Wood County Court

An Arpin man arrested for possession of child pornography appeared in Wood County Court on Monday.

On May 15, 2025, the Wood County Sheriff's Department along with the Marshfield Police Department executed a search warrant in the Town of Arpin, Wood County, Wisconsin.

The Wood County Sheriff's Department regularly follows up on cyber tips received from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, which provided information of an individual in possession of child pornography.

The information received along with other information obtained through the investigation lead to the search warrant that was executed. At the same time the search warrant was taking place Jason Parrish was located at his place of employment in the City of Marshfield where he was taken into custody in connection to possession of child pornography.

It is believed at this time that Parrish is/was in possession of numerous nude photographs of prepubescent and pubescent children. During an interview with Parrish he admitted to investigators that he visited websites and viewed nude photographs of children between the ages of 3 years old and 12 years old.

Parrish is facing ten counts of possession of child pornography, possession of virtual child pornography, and child enticement. During his arraignment on Monday, he entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on December 12th.
