Two People Arrested for Possession Charges in Black River Falls

Two people were arrested in Black River Falls for felony OWI and drug charges.
According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, on September 7th, around 9:11pm, a deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within the City of Black River Falls.
During the stop, the driver was identified as 39-year-old Matthew Hair of Boyd. Hair displayed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming fentanyl and methamphetamine. He participated in field sobriety testing and was arrested for impaired driving.
Deputies located suspected fentanyl in the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia. A passenger was identified as 26-year-old Summer Copeland of Boyd. She also showed indicators of drug impairment.
Both were arrested and are facing charges of 6th offense OWI, possession, and others.
