Friday, August 29th, 2025 -- 10:00 AM

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A man charged in a fatal stabbing at the Do-Dodge-Inn in Eau Claire was found competent to stand trial.

According to WEAU Staff, Anthony Jackson is charged in the death of Alex Graff, 31, of Medford. According to video surveillance and witness statements, Graff was playing pool when the suspect, Anthony Jackson, who is listed as being homeless, began stabbing Graff.

The Chief says the attack was unprovoked, but that Jackson had been acting strange prior to the stabbing. Graff was stabbed several times including in the heart, face, and back. He ran from the bar and collapsed outside.

During Jackson’s hearing on Wednesday, he was found competent to stand trial, so his court proceedings will continue.
