Two People Arrested for Vehicle Thefts in Jackson County

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) Two people are in custody in connection with vehicle thefts in Jackson County, according to WEAU staff.
According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 15, 2025, at around 4:26 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a stolen vehicle entering the county via Interstate 94 in the Town of Northfield.
A deputy found the vehicle in the Town of Brockway and stopped the vehicle. The driver, 39-year-old Jamila Troop of Hudson, Wis., was taken into custody. Troop was booked and held at the Jackson County Jail.
According to the press release, on Aug. 19, 2025, at around 6:36 p.m., a deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office found a stolen vehicle at a gas station in the City of Black River Falls.
Before this, the Communications Center received a stolen vehicle alert through the FLOCK automated license plate reader system. The deputy contacted 53-year-old Truedicha Jones of Fairburn, GA, who had entered the stolen vehicle.
Jones admitted to authorities to operating the stolen vehicle. Jones was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
