Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves County Participation in Conservation Aids Program
Sunday, August 24th, 2025 -- 5:00 AM

The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution authorizing participation in a Conservation Aids Program.
The program is for Conservation Aids for a Fish and Wildlife Project. This will allow the County to use funds approved by the state for improvement of fish and wildlife habitat. The Board also approved the transfer of funds due to overages in the 2024 budget. The total amount comes to $28,257.06.
A third resolution, which had drummed up some controversy, would have approved local cooperation with federal immigration forces. The resolution was submitted directly by a County Board Member, but the Board voted to send it to the Law Enforcement Committee for further review.
The Board also approved the second reading of an ordinance that will allow the Highway Commissioner to enter into contracts with municipalities for the construction and maintenance of streets and highways.
The Board also approved the first reading of an ordinance that will make slight changes to the wording of the County’s ordinance to better cover all the different products out there.
The Board also approved an appointment to the Board of Adjustments and heard two reports.
