Neillsville School Board Approves Changes to Board Policies

The Neillsville School Board approved some changes to Board Policies at their meeting on Monday.
The Board approved a resolution to Rescind Existing Board Policies and to Adopt Neola Policies. The Board also approved the use of Bchex as the official background check company for the District and they heard a building project update by Lance Gregorich from CESA 10.
The Board also approved the bid from Grand Flooring & Design in the amount of $4,644.61 for flooring in the high school guidance and athletic director offices. The Board also approved the bid from Total Electric in the amount of $5,320 for additional drops for cameras and the door system.
The Board approved the 2025-2026 Family Handbook, approved the Federal Programs Handbook, and approved the Crisis Response Plan as presented. The Board approved seven regular, one special needs, and three 4K noon bus routes for 2025-2026.
The Board also approved the offer versus serve contract for food service for the 2025-2026 school year, the Wisconsin Morning Milk Program, and the Federal Milk Program.
The Board also approved several donations including the donation of a chair, a 42” TV and 2 projector screens from Atmus Filtration Technologies; various school supplies from Pine Valley Zion Lutheran Church; 6 backpacks for high school students from Kris and Phil Strand; and school supplies from Neillsville EMS, fire, and police departments.
The Board also approved some employment matters. The Board approved the resignation of Hailey Hainz from her bus driving position and John Schuller from his weight room supervisor position.
The Board also approved the retirement of Connie Elmhorst from her custodial position and the leave of absence for Rolaine Griffiths from March 9-20, 2026.
Finally, the Board approved the hiring of Elizabeth Erickson for a teaching assistant position, Scott Heiman for a bus driving position, Jason Kurth for the fall weight room supervisor position, and Michael Gaier for the assistant cross country coach position.
Finally, District Administrator Corey Peterson reported on a thank you card; a district financial report from PTMA; a price list of Baird services; the upcoming Open House; the upcoming Region 5 WASB meeting; and Pick Up Patrol software.
