A former Neillsville mayoral candidate who was arrested after a high speed chase is being held on a $14,000 cash bond.Authorities say they tried to pull over Greg Hahn, 47, Tuesday evening. He fled at speeds of up to 100 mph, drove off STH 73 north of Neillsville and into a wooded area before eventually driving back out, where he was arrested.
He?s now facing 5 charges, including a felony count of fleeing and officer and misdemeanor counts of second offense drunk driving and operating a firearm while intoxicated.
According to the criminal complain, Hahn was extremely resistant.
He told officers he was just drinking and hunting and ?having some fun?.
He claimed they were arresting him because he ran for mayor. He said he would run again and fire the officers when he was elected.
Before being booked into the jail, he claimed officers had broken his back, forcing them to take him to the hospital for tests; he had to be sedated.
He?s scheduled back in court on December 11.
