A man who ran for mayor in the city of Neillsville was arrested yesterday evening after a high-speed chase.According to police reports, 47-year-old Greg Hahn passed a Clark County officer on STH 73 on Neillsville?s north side.
The officer tried to pull the vehicle over, but it drove away at speeds of over 100 mph.
The chase covered about one-and-a-half miles and ended when the man drove off the road onto a private drive and into a wooded area.
Noticing the man was dressed in blaze orange and could be armed, the officer called for back-up and Hahn eventually drove back out of the woods where he was arrested for operating while intoxicated, fleeing an officer and having an uncased, loaded firearm in the vehicle.
Hahn ran for Mayor of the City of Neillsville in April. He lost to Diane Murphy 370 to 109.
