Fire Crews Respond to House Fire in Wisconsin Rapids Friday Afternoon

(Desiree Fischer, WSAW) Fire crews from multiple agencies responded to a house fire in Wisconsin Rapids Friday afternoon.
According to Desiree Fischer with WSAW, Wisconsin Rapids Fire Chief Ben Goodreau tells NewsChannel 7 crews were called just before 1:30 p.m. to a home on 16th St South for a report of a fire.
When crews arrived, flames and smoke were coming from the house. Chief Goodreau said no injuries were reported. The family living in the home was displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. Unfortunately, a dog died in the fire.
The Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department was assisted by crews from Grand Rapids, Rudolph, Port Edwards, Vesper, the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, the Wisconsin Rapids Co-Responder and the American Red Cross.
