Marshfield Police Department Arrests Man for Having an Open Beer and Marijuana in his Vehicle

-The Marshfield Police Department arrested a man after finding an open beer and marijuana in his vehicle.

On Saturday, August 9th, around 11:07pm, Park Patrol located a running vehicle in Wildwood Zoo after hours with a male subject sleeping inside. Officers made contact with the subject and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.

Officers located marijuana and an open beer in the vehicle. The subject initially verbally identified himself, but officers later located an identification card with his picture and a different name on it.

The subject was arrested for obstructing and was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking. The man posted the required bond and was released.

Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.
