According to Caitlin Shuda with the Marshfield News-Herald, a spokesperson for Dine Brands confirmed to a Marshfield News-Herald reporter July 30 the Applebee’s at 2114 N. Central Ave. in Marshfield temporarily closed July 17.
Crews are currently working to remodel the space to create a dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP restaurant. The Marshfield location follows the company's openings in Seguin and Uvalde, Texas.
According to a February 2025 news release from Dine Brands, the company is planning to open 15 locations. The first opened Feb. 18 in Seguin, Texas. The Dine Brands representative said the community response has been incredible and the company is excited to become part of the Marshfield community.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests in to enjoy IHOP’s world-famous pancakes and iconic breakfast menu alongside Applebee’s fan-favorite boneless wings, burgers and more, all under one roof,” the representative said. Dine Brands will announce a reopening date when renovations are closer to complete, the spokesperson said.
Once the restaurant reopens, guests will be able to choose to sit in either the Applebee’s-branded or IHOP-branded areas, although all guests will be able to choose whichever menu items they’d like, the spokesperson said. The combined menu will include more than 120 choices based on guest favorite options from both Applebee’s and IHOP.
The dual-branded sites also offer unique menu options like a Buffalo Chicken Omelette, Ultimate Breakfast Burger and more, as well as specialty cocktails that can be served for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night.
Guests can enjoy the full menu on both sides of the restaurant all day.
