Arrest Made for Recent Vehicle Break-In in the City of Neillsville

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Neillsville police officers responded to multiple reports from residents whose unlocked vehicles had been entered overnight.
Victims reported that several personal items were stolen. Officers canvassed the affected neighborhoods, spoke with residents, and reviewed any available surveillance footage.
Through diligent investigative work, police identified a person of interest in the case. On Friday, July 25, 2025, officers interviewed Branden L. King, 24, of Neillsville. During the interview, Mr. King admitted to committing the thefts.
Police will be referring charges to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for review. Mr. King is currently being held in the Clark County Jail on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
