Neillsville School Board Hears/Approves Reports at July Meeting

The Neillsville School Board heard a building project update at their meeting on Monday.
A building project update was presented by Lance Gregorich from CESA 10 and Building and Grounds Director Mark Spencer. The Board also approved the annual meeting agenda, the Academic and Career Planning curriculum updates for 2025-2026, and the 2024-2025 Seclusion and Restraint Report.
The Board also approved the annual Safety Drill Report, the annual Act 12 Criminal Incident Report, and the 2025-2026 WiRSA membership renewal. The Board also approved the transportation charges for 2025-2026, the release of funds to the Class of 2025 in the amount of $2,362.36, and increasing the yearbook prices to $52 for pre-sold books and $58 for late orders for the 2025-2026 school year as presented.
In employment matters, the Board approved the resignation of Tammy Kolve from her food service assistant position, Alycia Zickert from her middle school teaching position, Alycia Zickert from her middle school softball coaching position, Lexi Opelt from her middle school basketball coaching position, and Jason Kurth from his high school assistant football coaching position.
The Board also approved the hiring of Tammy Kolve for the teaching assistant position, Sheila Roehl for a teaching assistant position, Michael McDonald for a bus driver position, Julia Hederer for an American sign language interpreter position, Adam Krause for the director of transportation position, Matthew Rogers for the high school social studies teaching position, and Alex Bloch for the high school assistant football coaching position.
The Board also approved the initial adoption of several policies. Finally, District Administrator Corey Peterson reported on state education budget changes; the DPI aid estimate; approval of the district’s 5-year AGR Program plan; update on the annual audit; CESA 10 Annual Convention invitation; the proposed student transportation contract; and the recently updated district app.
