Wausau Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A 28-year-old Wausau man is accused of receiving child porn material through a messenger app.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, investigators say Timothy Davis was communicating with at least two people who were under the age of 16 through KIK. That included receiving videos and images.
KIK notified the Wausau PD of the images, and investigators tied the IP address associated with the account to a west-side apartment. Officers obtained a warrant and arrested Davis in mid-June, then spent weeks combing through evidence on his devices.
Charges were officially filed last week. Davis is being held on a $10,000 cash bond and will make a court appearance on Wednesday. He faces nine counts of possession of child pornography. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
